Twinkle and Coral are excited to present this next offering to you from our Anti-Racism Everyday series. In this learning container, we’ll look at our own racism as white people. Do you believe you’re not racist? We challenge you to challenge this mindset and become anti-racist with us. Implicit bias and microaggressions may seem insignificant to you, but they’re clear magnifications of the racist system we’ve been conditioned in from birth.
Change begins with us. This workshop was created for white people as a space to awaken together by unlearning hidden racist thoughts, behaviors, and patterns. This unlearning can cause discomfort, but we gently encourage you to inhabit these emotions. Remember to have a beverage handy, stretch, and take care of yourself throughout the session.
This workshop will engage our somatic white bodies around our reactivity and racial stress. We’ll be presenting different styles for all types of learners so we can all take in the information.
There’ll be breakout rooms so everyone gets a chance to share from their hearts and minds. We recommend you update your zoom before the workshop to make sure you can participate fully. A short movement exercise will break up the two topics to release any stuck energy in the body.
